I was the first person to report gas prices on the internet with IndyGas.com in 2001. Within a year or two, countless companies were reporting prices and my objective was met. Ultimately, every consumer of gas was empowered to find the cheapest price and save money. Unfortunately, the project failed to keep gas prices at bay as noted by recent increases.
Enough is enough. The prices are at all time highs, and the oil companies will surely turn record profits (again). I for one am sick of it. I drive to work, to the store, to the doctor, to visit with friends and family, etc. Over the years, consumers have become complacent and accepting of the rise in gas prices. For example. when the price for a gallon of gas was $2.00 and spiked to $2.25, people complained and the prices became top news. Two weeks later the prices dropped to $2.20 and two weeks later dropped again to $2.15. The news reports indicated prices were dropping and everybody was happy. What they failed to realize was that the price was still $0.15 higher compared to one month prior. Six months later the prices jumped to $2.50 and the cycle starts again. Before anybody knows what happened, they awake to prices in the $4.00 range.
Americans see driving as a daily requirement. They do not see any alternative to paying for gas to conduct daily interactions. Fortunately, America is the leader in technology. We are the foundation of the future, and I am not referring to just technological advances in the automotive industry. If more employers embraced the work remote concept, 70% of the commuting needs would decrease. Many companies do this today, but many more need to embrace this concept. What would that do to gas prices? The laws of supply and demand would indicated lower gas prices. What would that do to auto maintenance? Save money on maintenance costs. What would that do to auto accidents, speeding tickets, pollution, etc.? Nonetheless, this is a culture change. A change that involves less motorized travel and more foot power.
I plan to keep this site simple. A one page site used by the people for the people. Voice your concerns and let them be known.

SCREEN NAME: Eva The card from Penfed (Pentagon Federal Credit Union) Visa Platinum Gas Cash Reward card beats Discover, because it pays 5% cbacsahk on gas without a monthly limit. It also pays 1.25% cbacsahk on all other purchases, which also beats most other cbacsahk cards. Discover limits their 5% rebate to the first $1200 of gas purchases a year, so if you spend more than $100/month on average on gas, your Discover rebate won't last all year.Make sure you pay at the pump if you go inside, you may not get the rebate. This applies to all gas rewards credit cards.

DATE: 5/24/2012 2:23:18 PM ... SCREEN NAME: Chen Your bankruptcy will show on your ciredt report for 10 years from your discharge date. Example: Say you filed 03/01/2006, you bankruptcy should fall off your report 03/01/2016. The actual debt should be on your ciredt report for 7 years from the date of your last payment. Most of the ciredt bureaus are showing the dates the debts listed will be removed.
